When you first visit Back In Action you will be greeted in our reception by one of our three dedicated receptionists and invited to take a seat in our comfortable waiting room with a daily newspaper and magazines. There is also a toy box to keep children entertained so don't worry if you have to bring them along. Chilled drinking water is available within the waiting room, and tea or coffee is available on request. On a good day you may even be offered a biscuit!
We have an extensive car parking facility on site which includes two dedicated disabled parking spaces, taking the hassle and stress out of your visit. Access can be gained via a ramp, allowing full access to everyone. Whether its a sports injury or back pain in Wakefield we are confident that we will be able to help you.
Back In Action is fully equipped with the latest electrotherapy equipment, and our fully equipped rehabilitation gymnasium is used extensively as part of nearly all of our treatments. In addition to this we have a separate room that contains an isokinetic dynamometer, which we use for assessment, rehabilitation and research within musculo-skeletal medicine including sports injuries.
All of our therapists are actively involved in post-graduate training, ranging from Diploma courses through to PhD. Our experienced staff also provide post graduate training to GPs and other physiotherapists, as well as lecturing at university.
Our appointments are normally 30 minutes although it may be the case that an initial assessment and some other rehabilitation sessions can last 60 minutes or more. For more information contact one of our friendly staff today who will be more than happy to make an appointment for you during our opening hours listed below:
We look forward to hearing from you.
It's taken many months of upheaval, mess and hard work but finally we can unveil Back In Actions brand new look! With a ground floor reception and toilet we are now fully disability friendly. The extension has created 3 new treatment rooms also on the ground floor. We've extended our car parking facility meaning that even during our busiest times all visitors vehicles should be accommodated. A massive thank you to Ryan Gomersall at Your Build LTD and all his workers for doing an amazing job on the project, all of us here at Back In Action can't recommend you enough!
